The More Time Fallacy

Time will never generate revenue.

Struggling founders always say the same thing. “We need more time.”

Time alone is not the answer. If what you did last week did not work, doing the same this week will not work.

The problem comes from the grind stories made popular on social media.

Influencers post about how they were lonely, struggling, and in pain. Now they are wealthy, have the love of their life, and live in a spectacular location. What they don’t share is the struggle to get there.

Time alone did not make them successful. It was learning from mistakes, figuring out what to do next, and applying lessons learned from others.

Founders need to discover 3 things to start:

1️⃣ A big enough problem where people will buy today.

2️⃣ A message that resonates with those that have the problem.

Most founders focus on what they think the big problem is. Chances are, that is just a surface level issue. Not something that causes prospects to buy today.

🔥 To buy an unproven product from an unknown company, the customer must have a pain that only that product can solve.

Once found, the hard work begins. That is building a message that resonates with those that have the problem. A single sentence reply to “What do you do?”

This message illustrates the outcome. Not the technology.

3️⃣ The third step is having a demo that generates sales.

That is not an immediate need. Because having a not so great demo can further prove the magnitude of the problem being solved. When people buy regardless.

Just make sure that the demo is not a monologue with a slide show. Instead, make it a conversation to find the problem, amplify it, and compare your product to doing nothing.

📉 Without those things… No amount of time will improve revenue.

📈 With those 3 steps… Time will compound growth.

The next steps involve applying what was learned into repeatable systems.
